    Experience Regional Japan!

    We did a half day tour with Alex and Yuko. They were very friendly and helpful in organising a custom itinerary that suited our family with a young child. We did a short hike to the Atera waterfalls, learning about the local folklore and mythology of area. Visited their house and seeing the cherry blossoms in the village (we were lucky with the timing and they were in bloom). Our daughter had fun making gohei mochi and helping start growing shitake mushrooms in logs.

    The area around shinshiro has a lot to explore and do. It's much less busy than the usual tourist spots with lines and crowds.
