Package Tour Charges and Deposits

How we take payments

We request online payments (e.g. for package tour deposits) through personalised products on our website (hihumizakka.com), or by bank transfer where possible. The base date for payments made is the date you make payments by bank transfer or through our website.

Bank transfer:
When available we request payment by bank transfer using “payment request” URLs through wise.com. Bank transfers may incur fees depending on your bank and account.

Shopify:
To make a payment on Shopify, add the personalised product to the cart, then check out. We use Shopify's payment gateway, policies, and exchange rates (which come from third
parties). Personalised URLs for payment may show the appropriate charge in your local currency, allowing you to pay in this currency (if available through Shopify), using Shopify's exchange rates and fees. Please note: payments through this gateway may incur a conversion fee, depending on your bank and payment method.

Tour charges

Charges for package tours are given in the documents we send to customers, with as much certain detail as possible. We charge a planning/handling fee of 15% of the tour price for custom-order tours, that is noted in these documents.

As mentioned previously, we cannot give definite prices for currency conversion fees or values due to the nature of exchange rates. Customer banks and credit cards may also incur fees.

Package tour deposit schedule

Deposits must be paid according to our deposit schedule, which changes if the travel contract is started closer to the first day of the tour. We will work with you to organise the payment amounts and timing of deposits.

Travel contract started more than 30 days before the first day of tour:

• 50% of the package tour fee paid earlier than 30 days before the first day of the tour.
• The remaining 50% must be paid earlier than 14 days before the first day of the tour.

Travel contract started less than 30 days, but more than 14 days before the first day of tour:

• 50% of the package tour fee paid earlier than 20 days before the first day of the tour.
• The remaining 50% must be paid earlier than 14 days before the first day of the tour.

Travel contract started less than 14 days before the first day of tour:

• 100% deposit must be paid, according to availability - we can rarely offer package tours this close to the start date of the tour.
